Meta Ventures: Innovation with Startups and Digital Products

Meta Ventures is the company’s open innovation initiative, aimed at integrating technological development and establishing strategic partnerships with startups. According to Marcio Flôres, Head of Meta Ventures, the initiative has evolved from a traditional investment approach to also creating AI-based products. This transformation has expanded Meta’s portfolio, generating value for clients and strengthening its market position.

International Expansion

In 2019, Meta embarked on its global expansion journey by launching operations in Canada, a strategic region within the Toronto-Waterloo corridor—recognized for its commercial advantages and innovation ecosystem. This initiative was driven by the partnership with DataH, which led to the creation of the AI joint venture MetaDataH, expanding Meta’s presence across North America. Today, the company serves over 45 clients in the region, cementing its position as a leader in technology and innovation.

Meta reinforced its market positioning with the launch of the Digital Transformation Index (DXi) in 2021, designed to assess companies’ maturity in digitalization and innovation. The 2024 edition of the index focuses on AI maturity within organizations.
