For the second consecutive year, Meta is a finalist for the Women in Tech LATAM Awards! This year, Meta’s Director of People and Performance, Viviane Furquim, has been nominated in the Global Leadership category, which recognizes women driving transformative change and making a significant impact on a global scale.
The Success Story of the Employee Journey
Viviane was nominated thanks to the success of the Employee Journey, a project that is part of Meta’s digital transformation. This success case spans the entire employee lifecycle, from talent attraction and selection to continuous professional development, always with an innovative approach.
The project integrates cutting-edge technologies to enhance the employee experience, leading to the incorporation of seven startups into the company’s processes, advanced artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, and a 30% reduction in voluntary turnover. Additionally, Meta maintains an Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) above 60, reflecting a high level of employee satisfaction.
The International Recognition of Women in Tech
The Women in Tech Awards is organized by Global Movement, an international NGO dedicated to promoting gender equality and recognizing women in technology. With over 200,000 members worldwide, it is the only organization offering programs that support women throughout their entire career lifecycle, from education to leadership positions.
This marks the second consecutive year that Meta’s leaders have been named finalists in the Women in Tech Awards. In 2023, Meta’s Digital Director, Simone Lettieri, was a finalist in two categories: Global Leadership and Lifetime Achievement, winning the latter.
This international recognition further solidifies Meta’s evolution journey over recent years. The digital transformation of the Employee Journey, led by Viviane Furquim and the People & Performance team, is a testament to Meta’s commitment to attracting, developing, and retaining talent—aligning technological innovation with employee well-being and growth.
The award also reinforces Meta’s own Women in Tech initiative, a program designed to empower women in IT and support their career growth. One of the initiative’s key actions was the creation of an e-book featuring inspiring stories of successful women in leadership, sharing the challenges they overcame and valuable advice for aspiring leaders.
The e-book provides valuable insights from visionary, strategic, and innovative leaders who are shaping a more inclusive and equitable industry.
