OCP Fertilizers and the SAP S/4HANA Implementation
OCP Fertilizers was another company to kickstart its digital evolution by adopting SAP S/4HANA as its corporate ERP system. For this large-scale project, Meta was chosen as the consultancy to implement the system and apply SAP’s best practices, as SAP is the world leader in ERP solutions.
Go Live SAP S/4HANA at OCP Fertilizers
During the week of April 1st, the Go Live of SAP S/4HANA at OCP Fertilizers was celebrated, marking the moment the company began issuing invoices in the new system. This was a significant step for a company aiming for scalable growth, beyond what it has already achieved.
The SAP S/4HANA implementation at OCP Fertilizers took one year and involved the entire company, extending beyond the IT department. The project, in addition to the software implementation, also required a joint effort between OCP and Meta for change management and cultural transformation. After all, the company is now adopting greater digitalization, system integration, real-time data, and more comprehensive and secure governance.
OCP Fertilizers chose SAP because it is the ERP used by the company in its global operations (in the other countries where it operates). SAP can support and strengthen the growth OCP seeks in Brazil, facilitates system and process integration across the company, and is the global market leader in ERP.
The Meta team involved in the project consisted of more than 15 consultants, including a significant number of women, reinforcing our stance as a company that advocates for the presence of women in technology! It was a project focused on adopting the best SAP S/4HANA implementation practices, aiming for standard applications with fewer customizations and more alignment with SAP’s guidelines. In fact, Meta was also responsible for ensuring the use of best practices and guiding OCP, putting into practice the extensive SAP expertise that the consultancy already possesses.
