Meta has once again been recognized as one of the top companies leading open innovation in Brazil, securing 2nd place in the Technology category in the 100 Open Corps Ranking.
The award is organized by 100 Open Startups, a pioneering and leading open innovation platform in Latin America. The event took place on October 17 at the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together the key players in Brazil’s innovation ecosystem.
This marks the third consecutive year that Meta has ranked in the Top 5 in the Technology category, reaffirming our journey of continuous evolution and commitment to open innovation. Additionally, Meta was recognized in the Open Corps Middle Market category, achieving 6th place, which highlights corporations with annual revenues between $20 million and $200 million.
Meta Ventures: Driving the Open Innovation Ecosystem
The 100 Open Corps Ranking recognizes Meta’s initiatives in the innovation ecosystem, which remains a central pillar of its business strategy. A key driver of this achievement is Meta Ventures, the company’s corporate venture capital arm.
Meta Ventures goes beyond financial investment—it plays an active role in strengthening the startup ecosystem by providing capital, expertise, and direct market connections. Through this initiative, Meta continues to foster innovation and support emerging companies, reinforcing its leadership in the open innovation space.
Bring Your SaaS and The Next Gen: Driving Innovation and Inclusion
One of the most impactful initiatives is Bring Your SaaS, a challenge that has already had four editions and aims to identify high-growth-potential startups. The challenge has engaged over 300 participating companies and resulted in R$10 million in investments by Meta Ventures.
Another example of our commitment to innovation is The Next Gen, a competition dedicated to startups led by women. This program fosters female inclusion in the technology ecosystem by providing mentorship, market connections, and investment opportunities. The initiative is part of our #WomenInTech movement, reinforcing our support for female entrepreneurship.
Through Meta Ventures, Meta not only invests in startups but also integrates the solutions developed in these challenges directly into the company’s portfolio. By leveraging emerging and disruptive technologies from selected startups, Meta develops innovative solutions that expand its digital transformation offerings. This synergy between startups and Meta enables the creation of market-driven products that accelerate the digital transformation of our clients.
“Open Innovation, along with CVC and Venture Building, forms the foundation of Meta Ventures. Connecting our clients to the innovation ecosystem through our services and creating new digital offerings from our portfolio companies is a strategic priority for Meta,” says Marcio Flôres, Director of Corporate Venture Capital at Meta.
